Zelensky, Chernyshov to visit Austria to discuss strengthening of bilateral cooperation

On September 15-16, the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov, as member of the Ukrainian delegation of Ukraine chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will visit the Republic of Austria, the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine reports.

During the official visit, the minister will take part in a number of events. In particular, Chernyshov will meet with Florian Frauscher, Director General, Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy, Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs. The parties will discuss bilateral cooperation, including within the framework of the Ukrainian-Austrian mixed commission on trade and economic relations, the Ukrainian part of which is headed by the minister.

Oleksiy Chernyshov will also take part in the Ukrainian-Austrian business forum, during which he will present the investment potential of Ukraine and discuss with representatives of Austrian business issues of cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

“The attracting investments to the Ukrainian economy is one of the priorities of the President and the Government. And given the history of effective business and diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Austria, it is important to constantly deepen this cooperation. Austria is actively investing in Ukraine: the largest volumes of investments in recent years have come in the financial and insurance sectors, in industry, wholesale and retail trade. I am sure that meetings and agreements with our Austrian partners during this trip will lay the foundations for new vectors of cooperation and strengthen Ukrainian economy,” Chernyshov said.
