Zelensky grants visa free travel to citizens of six countries

The visa-free regime for citizens of six states will enter into force from August 1.

Ukraine has established a visa-free regime for citizens of Australia, New Zealand and the countries of the Arabian Peninsula. The corresponding decree No. 289/2020 was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on previous day, the website of the head of state informs.

“In order to develop and practically implement the principles of partnership […] I decide to establish from 1 August 2020 a visa-free regime of entry and transit through the territory of Ukraine for citizens of Australia, New Zealand, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, if the period of their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days during 180-days period,” the decree reads.

The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to take measures derived from this document.

The above decree comes into force from the day of its publication.
