President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has commented on a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin that another Srebrenica could happen in Donbas.

The President spoke about this during the Pravo na Vladu (Right to Power) panel show on the 1 + 1 TV channel.

“He said this [meaning Srebrenica – ed.] twice, he said this at our meetings. We explained to him that we are different people, completely different, free, respecting democracy. We understand that Ukrainians live there. And we respect the citizens of Ukraine. And there will be no massacre – I just said that to Mr. Putin – I am a different person, we are a different country. We are a different government and the most important thing for us is human life, so I don’t see such conclusions,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.

On December 10, Putin stated that Srebrenica could happen in Donbas if Ukraine establishes control of the border with Russia without ensuring the protection of the citizens of Donbas.

Lists for prisoner exchange will be discussed at TCG meeting in Minsk on Dec 18 – Zelensky.
