The Zhytomyr City Council calls on President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Cabinet of Ministers to intervene prevent complete halt and bankruptcy of the Zhytomyr Liquor Distillery Factory.

The corresponding decision was made by a majority of deputies of the Zhytomyr City Council at an extraordinary session.

Representatives of the labor collective reported on the critical situation at the enterprise, claiming that the plant, where more than 400 people work, is facing complete halt “due to economic inaction and the indifference of the new factory management.” Also, the factory may be left without gas, and it will face fines for non-fulfillment of orders.

The City Council also asks the country’s leadership to urgently conduct an audit at the enterprise and transfer it to the municipal property.

Zhytomyr distillery factory was founded in 1896. The main activities of the enterprise are the production of ethyl alcohol, vodka, juices, malt, as well as retail and wholesale trade.

As The Journalist reported, Trans-Fast international payment system enters Ukrainian market.
