The Saudi Agricultural & Livestock Investment Co. has acquired one of the largest agroholdings in Ukraine, Mriya Agro Holding Plc. This is reported by Hromadske inform agency.
Foreign investors signed an agreement with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on acquiring the company.
«We are the long-term investors. We are not here for one year. We have come to a long perspective. I hope that our decision will facilitate the selection of other investors and will attract them to invest in Ukraine,» - said a representative of the Saudi Arabia company.
Note that Mriya Agro Holding is a large agro-industrial company of Ukraine founded in 1992 and operating the sixth-largest land bank in Ukraine. 165 thousand hectares of land are located in Ternopil, Khmelnitsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Rivne Oblasts.
As The Journalist reported earlier, the owners of the agricultural holding were arrested with the possibility of a pledge.
