Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine: the traffic in the Kyiv downtown will be limited

Solemn prayer services and a cross processions will be held in Kiev on the occasion of the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).
It is reported that in connection with the celebration of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine, the movement for all types of transport in the center of Kiev will be restricted on July 24, 27 and 28.
The report notes that the City Administration adopted such a decision on petition, filed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP), the Kiev Metropolitanate of the UOC and the Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Autocephalous PCR.
On July 24, from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. movement of transport will be limited at:
Andriivs’kyi descent (from Volodymyrska st., 23);
Desyatinna st. (from Volodymyrska st. to Mikhailovskaya Square);
Trehsvyatitelskaya st. (from Mikhailovskaya Square to Kostelnaya st.).

On July 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. movement of transport will be limited at:
Trehsvyatitelskaya st. (from Mikhailovskaya Square to the European Square);
Khreshchatyk st. (from Mikhailovskaya st. to the European square);
Vladimirsky descent (from Poshtova square to the European square);
Parkova Road (from the alley of Heroes of Kruty to Mykhailo Grushevsky st);
Mykhailo Grushevsky st. (from Shelkovichnaya st. to the European square).

On July 28, from 12:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. movement of transport will be limited at:
Tarasa Shevchenko Blvd (from house number 20 to house number 14);
Volodymyrska st. (from Volodymyrska st., 56 to the St Sophia Square);
Volodymyrsky passage (from the St Sophia Square to the Mikhailovskaya Square).

It is noted that the celebration will last in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine from August 8, 2017 «On Measures for the Preparation and Celebration of the 1030th Anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus-Ukraine.»
As The Journalist reported earlier, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated that each country has right for an independent church.
