Cooperation Memorandum for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms in Education was signed

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine today, August 7th, Liliya Hrynevych, Minister of Education and Science, and Lyudmyla Denisova, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights, signed a Memorandum on joint cooperation.

Parties agreed on the implementation of cooperation in those areas that would contribute to and improve all the necessary conditions for the observance of human and citizen rights and freedoms in the field of education:

«Ministry of Education and Science and the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada will coordinate efforts and work together to prevent, detect, eliminate and prevent violations of human and civil rights and freedoms in the field of education», report said.

«For us, this cooperation is extremely important and we are interested in attracting representatives of the Commissioner to all working groups that work on normative documents related to enforcement of rights», Liliya Hrynevych emphasized.

«We start with education, because it is the beginning of everything and concerning a very large number of our citizens. If a person has an education, he gets great opportunities in life», noted Lyudmila Denisova.
