The city of Reni and the villages of Dolynske and Lymanske (Odessa Oblast) will remain without gas supply for a month. This is reported by «Topor» local inform agency.
Due to the construction of the ring road around Reni, which will last until October 19, several settlements of the Odessa Oblast will stay without gas supply.
It is noted that the main gas pipeline [which supplies the district center with natural gas] lies under this road, thus, according to experts, it is unsafe and it was decided to continue it in another place. At the same time, the city and the district authorities insisted these works to be made in the spring, but Odessagaz and Rostdorstroy [the road construction contractor] delayed the solution of the problem until the fall.
The population was warned that the gas stoves, operating on natural gas, cannot be connected to liquefied petroleum gas cylinder, because they have nozzles with different diameters. Such a connection may cause the explosion.
AsThe Journalist reported earlier, deputies of the Kyiv city council voted for taking on Kyivenergo's debts to Naftogaz.
