The duel between Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko and British Lennox Lewis, which was announced earlier, will not take place, informs sport.unian.net.

As it became known, the Lewis team explained to the WBC that it did not receive any proposals for holding this match.
Also, the absence of an agreement was reported by Klitschko side.
Note that information about the meeting was a week ago.

Recall, Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis last met on June 21st, 2003.
The fight, later recognized as the «fight of the decade in the heavyweight», was stopped by the doctor because of Vitali’s injury.

At the time of the stop, the Ukrainian won with a score of 58:56.
After the battle, the Briton promised a rematch, but did not keep his word, and after a few months and did announce the end of the boxing career.
