A meeting on nuclear energy cooperation between Japan and Ukraine was held

Representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine held a working meeting in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry. As a result, an agreement on joint cooperation on the modernization of nuclear power equipment was reached. This is reported by press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between OJSC «Turboatom» and Toshiba Energy Systems in June, 2018.
At this stage of agreement, the Japanese side announced its intention to cooperate with Ukraine on the manufacture and modernization of turbines, including nuclear power facilities for another countries. The Ukrainian side stated that interaction with other countries is relevant in the direction of instrument making and ensuring the development and improvement of the energy sector of Ukraine.
As «The Journalist» reported, Belgium is going to completely refuse nuclear energy.
