In August 2018, inflation in Ukraine in annual terms (compared to August 2017) accelerating up to 9%, in compare to 8.9% last month.
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the price growth to the previous month is zero after negative growth minus 0.7%.
Prices went up by 3.6% compared with December 2017, writes UNIAN news agency.
According to Gosstat [State Statistics], the largest increase in prices in annual terms was fixed for eggs by 40.2%, road passenger transport by 24.8%, maintenance of houses and home territories by 24.1%.
Decrease in prices in annual terms was recorded for sugar (18.6%), fruits (10.5%), vegetables (4.2%).
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko stated that economy is growing, inflation is falling, gold and foreign exchange reserves are increasing.
