Poroshenko named the number of female soldiers in Armed Forces of Ukraine

More than 55 thousand women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU). Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko posted this on his Facebook.

«Today, more than 55 thousand women are serving and working in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of these, 25,000 are servicewomen of the Armed Forces,» – the Head of State said.

Recall, on August 24, female soldiers participated in the military parade during the celebrations of the 27th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine for the first time. Participants in the festive parade were cadets of the Military Institute (Taras Shevchenko National University) and Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics named after Heroes of Krut.
As The Journalist reported earlier, a monument to the heroes of the Heavenly Hundreds was erected in Berdyansk.
