Ukraine’s infrastructure minister Volodymyr Omelyan said that this fall the Bila Tserkva regional airport will be opened as an international one. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.

“The airport carried out 73 aviation operations in 2018, which is a record over the last 18 years of the enterprise’s history. In the future, after the international checkpoint at the Bila Tserkva airfield will be opened, a gradual increase in number of aviational operations is expected to grow at 300 per year,” Omelyan said.

According to the minister, in order to increase the investment attractiveness and competitiveness in the field of repair and air cargo transportation, enterprise take some measures to open an international checkpoint.

“This will make it possible to carry out direct flights to other countries from the Bila Tserkva airport, which will significantly increase the number of requiring aircraft’s repairment or maintenance. The opening of the international checkpoint is scheduled approximately in the autumn of 2019,” Omelyan noted.
