A spokesperson for the Polish Office for Foreigners, Jakub Dudziak, said that 179,000 Ukrainians already have a residence permit in Poland. This was reported by the PAP.
The report notes that the number of foreigners who received valid residence permits in Poland increased by 47,000 people in 2018.
“Among foreigners who received valid permissions to reside in Poland, the number of Ukrainians has grown to almost 35,000 people (up to 179,000), Belarus – by 4,700 (up to 20,000 people), India – by 1,900 (up to 8,800), as well as citizens of Georgia – by 1,300 (up to 2,900),” the message says.
