Monetary base in Ukraine increased by 9% over past year

The monetary base in Ukraine has increased by 0.8% by December 2018, and by 9.2% – up to UAH 437,797 billion in general over the year. This was reported by IBC.UA, referring to National Bank of Ukraine data.
The money supply grew by 3.9% in December, and by 5.6% over the past 2018.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, this dynamics became possible due to the growth in the balance of deposits by 4.3% – up to UAH 910,996,000,000, and the volume of cash in circulation outside banks – by 3.8%, to UAH 364,753,000,000.
As The Journalist reported, the NBU put into circulation a souvenir coin.
