Several hundred Kherson residents gathered outside the city council building to protesting against increase of the travel fare in minibuses, KHERSON Online reported.
Starting on Friday, November 16, Kherson carriers refused to comply with the court decision, which ruled to abolished UAH 6 tariff.
Moreover, minibuses that were operating require UAH 8 for travel.
Kherson city Mayor Volodymyr Nikolayenko came out to meet with the protesting people, who chanted «Shame» to him and demands mayor’s resignation. Despite the megaphone, the governor did not manage to shout down the protesters.
Later, the mayor reported that only three carriers refuse to work: FOP «Prisyazhniy», «Cornet-Style» and «MIS».
Nikolayenko also stressed that the Kherson public transport is on the routes and take fare in the amount of UAH 4.
