The gas was supplied for 15 out of 20 boilers of the city of Smila (Cherkassy Oblast), where the state of emergency was introduced due to the lack of heating. This is reported by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Housing Hennadiy Zubko on his page on Facebook.
«Gas has already been supplied to 15 boilers out of 20, to which 77 houses, 9 schools, 3 hospitals, 8 kindergartens are connected. Four boiler rooms are working to supply heat, the rest are in the process of launching,» the message says.
It is noted that the Cabinet has provided the city with UAH 25 million loan to start the heating season. The local authorities were urged to ensure the signing of contracts between the communal enterprise and Naftogaz.
As The Journalist reported, activist used burning tires in Smila protesting against lack of heating. Security measures in city were increased.
