The Kyiv City Council has decided to ban alcohol sales at night from October 24. This is reported Glavcom inform agency.
The report notes that according to the decision «On the establishment of a restriction on the sale of beer (except non-alcoholic), alcoholic, low-alcoholic beverages, and table wines in Kyiv,» it is planned to restrict the sale of alcohol-containing beverages from 11:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Thus, the sales of wine, beer, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the small architectural forms or stationary objects of trade are restricted in the period between 11:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. In turn, this rule does not apply to the restaurants, cafes, bars and catering establishments.
According to the city authorities, such a decision will help to reduce the alcohol consumption in Kyiv and, as a result, will reduce the crime and mortality, as well as increase the life expectancy of the population.
