The Italian Ernest Airlines plans to launch regular flights to Rome and Milan from Kharkiv starting from March 21, 2019.
«Tickets will be available from next week. The price for one way ticket will start from EUR 45 (hand luggage and taxes included). Departures are on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays,» the Kharkiv airport reported.
«We are pleased to announce that we have managed to reach an agreement with the Italian airline, and now everyone can take direct flights to two major cities in Italy,» the press service added.
Note that the Ernest Airlines flies from Lviv to Milan (Bergamo), Milan (Malpensa), Rome (Fiumicino), Naples and Venice at the moment. It also operates flights from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Airport to Rome (Fiumicino), Milan (Bergamo), Milan (Fiumicino), Naples and Bologna.
However, the Ernest Airlines fleet consists of only two aircraft: one Airbus A319 and one Airbus A320; this fact often caused delays and cancellation of flights.
As The Journalist reported, the railway line to Boryspil airport is completed at 25%.
