On October 15, Militants launched 37 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. One Ukrainian soldier was killed, three more were injured. This is reported by the press service of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on its page on Facebook.
«The occupants shelled our [Ukrainian army] positions 37 times, 9 times using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements,» – the message says.
The occupiers attacked Ukrainian position near the village of Krymske, Katerynoivka, Troyitske, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Novoluhanske, Pivdenne, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Nivelske, Maryinka, Berezove, Stepne, Starohnativka, Chermalyk, Pavlopoil, Hnutovae, Talakivka, Vodyane, Lebedynske and Shyrokine with the grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
The enemy also resorted to 120mm mortars to shell the JFO positions in the settlements of Troyitske, Novoluhanske and Talakivka, as well as 82-mm mortars against Ukrainian fortified positions near Troyitske, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk and Hnutove. The defenders of Troyitske and Vodyane were attacked from IFVs; and another combat clash took place in Avdiyivka.
«During the combat, one JFO soldier was killed, three other were injured,» – the JFO headquarters reported.
In turn, according to intelligence data, two militants were killed and six other were wounded over the past day.
As The Journalist reported, the militants shelled JFO positions 24 times over the past day: one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
