On October 9, the militants launched 39 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. As a result, one soldier was killed, two were slightly injured. It is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on its official Facebook page.
«Russian invaders shelled Ukrainian army positions 39 times over the past day, 14 times using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements… During the combat actions, one Ukrainian soldier died, two other were slightly injured,» – the message says.
During the past days the enemy attacks Ukrainian positions near the village of Stanitsya Luhanska, Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Novozvanivka, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Travneve, Zalizne, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomyhaylivka, Berezove, Novotroyitske, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Hnutove , Vodyane, Lebedynske and Shyrokine.
«The Russian occupying forces opened aimed fire using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy also shelled Ukrainian fortified positions near Novotoshkivske using 152-mm artillery, as well as 122-mm artillery in the area of the village of Vodyane. The enemy attacked JFO positions in the area of Luhanske, Hnutove and Lebedynske with 120-mm mortars, and the fortified positions near Krymske, Novotoshkoivske, Zolote, Novozvanivka, Luhanske, Novoluhanske and Vodyane came under the fire of 82-mm mortars. The defenders of the Krymske and Novozvanivka, in addition, were sheled with weapons of infantry fighting vehicles IVF-1. The JFO positions in the Zolote area were also shelled with an anti-tank guided missiles,» – the JFO headquarters reported.
In turn, according to Ukrainian intelligence data, three militants were killed and another five were injured within the past day.
As The Journalist reported, militants shelled JFO positions 24 times over the past day: one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
