Ukraine, together with Sergey Loznitsa’s movie «Donbass», passed qualification for participation in competitions for Oscar in the category «Best film in a foreign language». About this wrote the press service of the Ukrainian Oscar Committee on the official page on Facebook.
«American Film Academy has announced a list of countries that have qualified to participate in the category «Best film in a foreign language». This year it is 87 countries. Ukraine participates with «Donbass» film by Sergei Loznitsa», the committee said.
It is known that the nominees of the award will be announced on January 22, 2019.
As previously reported by The Journalist, official Ukrainian trailer for movie Loznitsa «Donbass» has appeared in network.
