MinTOT: during September in Crimean ports recorded 16 tankers and cargo ships violators

Press service of Ministry for the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons of Ukraine (Ministry of Labor) reported on the number of offender vessels recorded in ports of the occupied Crimea peninsula.

«From September 1 to September 30, 16 tankers and cargo violating vessels entered ports of the occupied Crimea. 15 vessels were flying the flag of the Russian Federation and 1 flying the flag of the Republic of Togo … In addition, 13 ships were fixed in roadstead in ports of Sevastopol, Feodosia and Kerch, including 10 flags of the Russian Federation and one flags of Turkey, Moldova and the Republic of Panama», ministry said.

As noted in relevant department, seaports that are located on territory of Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Evpatoria, Kerch, Sevastopol, Feodosia, Yalta) are closed by order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of April 30, 2014 No. 578-p «Some issues of the functioning of sea and river transport» and in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine of June 06, 2014 No. 255 «On the closure of sea ports».

The entry of ships under foreign flags into closed seaports and terminals located on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is a violation of international law as an action undermining the sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as a violation of Ukrainian legislation and entails the responsibility of ship owners, operators and ship captains.

Earlier, The Journalist reported said that the deputy of the annexed Crimea received go punishment for encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
