Not far from Portugal archaeologists have found a ship that was wrecked in 16th-17th centuries.

Discovery was named by researchers as a unique discovery of the last decade. About this writes BBC.

It is reported that an archaeological site was found near the city of Cascais, near the capital of Lisbon, at a depth of 12 meters.
According to archaeologists, ship returned from India, but crashed and sank, it happened somewhere between 1575 and 1625 years.
It is also noted that find has survived to this day.

It should be noted that alongside wreckage of the ship were found ceramic vessels, Chinese porcelain, bronze cannons with the Portuguese coat of arms, and shells of cowry, which at that time served as currency for Indian Ocean region.
