The second president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, called on the incumbent President of the United States Donald Trump to apologize to the Ukrainian side, Espreso.TV reports.

«Ukraine was deceived. North Korea does not cost anything at all without nuclear weapons. What advice would I like to give Mr Trump in this regard? The main thing is to turn to Ukraine and say: «Excuse me, I am ready to help Ukraine more actively in this issue, which today is terrible not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe and the world,» – Kuchma said.

INFO: The Budapest Memorandum (Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with the Republic of Belarus’/Republic of Kazakhstan’s/Ukraine’s accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons) is an international agreement concluded on December 5, 1994 among Ukraine, the United States, the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom on the non-nuclear status of Ukraine. The agreement contains points that provide guarantees for Ukraine’s sovereignty and security. In 1995, the UN General Assembly adopted the memorandum as an official document.

It should be recalled that as of 1991, Ukraine had the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world: 176 intercontinental ballistic missiles in the 43rd Missile Army, including 130 liquid-fueled SS-19 (six warheads each) and 46 solid-fuel SS -24 (ten warheads each); strategic bombers Tu-95MS and Tu-160 (from 30 to 43); from 1514 to 2156 nuclear strategic warheads; from 2800 to 4200 tactical nuclear warheads.

AsThe Journalist reported earlier, Donald Trump presented Kim Jong un with Elton John’s disc, containing the Rocket Man song.
