Turchynov initiates the development of a strategy to combat alcoholism and drug addiction in Ukraine

Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov initiates a joint meeting with law enforcement and religious organizations to develop a strategy to combat alcoholism and drug addiction, whose victims in Ukraine are becoming more people than even in Donbas. It is reported by Nation News .

According to Turchynov country loses from alcohol and drug addiction more population than on the battlefield. According to official statistics, in Ukraine about one million people suffer from drug dependence, even more Ukrainians have alcohol dependence.

According to Turchynov, it also follows that these problems tend to grow, which is the reason for many Ukrainians moving abroad in search of a better life.
Thus, the number of citizens of Ukraine «catastrophic pace» is reduced, which in turn carries a «real threat to national security».

Earlier Journalist reported that, that according to Turchynov in 2019 for defense and security of Ukraine will be allocated about 200 billion UAH.
