Deputies want to prohibit selling flavored cigarettes in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the bill No.9073, which prohibits the production, sale and import of flavored cigarettes.

The bill was initiated by the group of MPs, headed by the People’s Deputy of «People’s Front» faction, Andryi Kot. According to the bill, it is proposed to ban the sale in Ukraine of cigarettes with the flavors of fruits, herbs, spices, menthol, vanilla, alcohol or sweets. Also the bill will restrict the manufacturing of the cigarettes and related products with similar flavors. This will affect filters, packages, capsules etc.
In cases of violation of the ban on the production and sale of flavored cigarettes, the legislator offers punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 5 to 10 thousand UAH, and for the import and wholesale of banned tobacco products – from 10 to 50 thousand UAH.
As The Journalist reported earlier, a Moldovan citizen was trying to bring to Ukraine a drug to rejuvenate a person.
