Volunteers managed to rescue 22 dogs that are on the territory of the communal enterprise (CE) «Animal Protection Center». As The Journalist previously reported, the indifferent local residents raised alarm because, according to them, after changing the leadership of this CE, which deals with salvation, treatment and search for houses, for homeless animals, they began animals mass killing. About this in a telephone conversation The Journalist was told earlier by the volunteer and zoo-activist Olena Vengerova.

In particular woman noted that now instead of saving animals, they are mercilessly killed, and under the guise of noble actions and economy of the state budget, the company is engaged in money laundering, using the financially costly procedure of euthanasia. However, the main goal of Olena Vengerova and the team of not indifferent residents were to find for more than two dozen dogs better homes and caring owners. And they succeeded.
«All dogs that were on the territory of the communal enterprise (CE) «Center for the Protection of Animals», dismantled. The not indifferent people from different cities of Ukraine responded, and on Friday (August 31) already all the animals, 22 dogs, were taken away. Part was sent to overexposure to Kyiv to Victoria Zoloto. One of these dogs then went from the capital to Khmelnitskiy. In addition, we still have shelters «City of Dogs”, which also sheltered several animals. Mrs. Lydia Shust took animals to her refuge. To take out these animals helped us a lot of people. It cannot be said that the «Center for the Protection of Animals» somehow prevented. There is an opinion that, perhaps, it is even advantageous for them that there are no dogs there. At the moment there are no dogs at all in this CE territory», volunteer told in a telephone conversation, commenting on the situation.

These are people who took animals to their shelters, organized transportation and care for them. However, according to Olena Vengerova, in the city of Mykolaiv, the situation with homeless animals is still difficult.
«At the moment, the situation in the city is difficult. We (volunteers – ed.) are on duty near the CE «Center for the Protection of Animals» 24 hours a day for almost 2 months, and we noticed that there are no dogs at all, but they are massively poisoned around the city. In this regard, people write statements to the police. But this is only a piece of paper», activist said.
