The modernized BTR-3DA armored vehicle will be presented on September 7 at the MSPO 2018 exhibition in Poland and on September 25-27 at the ADEX 2018 exhibition in Azerbaijan. This is reported by the Defense-Blog agency.
The report notes that the modernized BTR-3DA is faster, thanks to the modern Deutz BF6M1015 diesel engine with the 326 hp. Also, it has a new Allison MD3066 automatic transmission. As a result, the armored personnel carrier can work in any weather conditions at any time of the day.
It should be noted that the BTR-3DA is equipped with a single-tower module BM-3M «Sturm-M», which has a 7.62 mm machine gun and automatic grenade launcher mounted, as well as a vehicle-carried antitank missile system which can penetrate 800 mm armor on the distance up to 5 km [not including the dynamic protection].
This weapon allows the BTR-3DA crew to destroy any enemy armored combat unit.
The BTR-3DA can move on water via single water jet engine, installed in the stern of the hull.
