The sunflower processing wastes has now proved to be in more demand than for sunflower seeds in Kherson Oblast. This is reported by the Voice of Ukraine news agency.
It is reported that agricultural enterprises buy sunflower husk at UAH 500 per kg in cash, despite the fact that the seeds cost UAH 10.6-10.8 thousand.
Seeds peel became a valuable raw material because of the production of fuel pellets or briquettes: it has a large caloric value and burns well in boilers and ovens. Their production is growing rapidly, according to the data, provided by the Central Statistical Office of the Kherson Oblast. Since the beginning of the year, sunflower husk volumes have increased by 80%, reaching 1363 tons due to the consistently high demand.
«With a deficit of timber processing waste in the steppe areas, literally everything goes straight into the course: reeds, fallen leaves; one of the New Kakhovka firms even began to collect stumps from the vine on the plantations after they were trimming and processing,» – the report said.
As The Journalist reported earlier, in the capital of the Netherlands tourists are offered a tour with fishing of plastic wastes.
