Ministry of Agrarian Policy: Ukrainian agrarian export amounted to USD 8.6 bln in six month

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine (Ministry of Agrarian Policy), Ukrainian agri-exports in January-June 2018 has amounted to USD 8.6 billion, said the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration Olga Trofimtseva.

«According to the results of the first half of 2018, Ukrainian agri-export amounted to USD 8.6 billion. Last year, Ukrainian agrarian exports hit a record amount of almost USD 18 billion. We also expect the result will not be lower this year, due to the conjuncture of world markets, such goods as grain,» – the deputy minister noted.

It is known that cereal crops with a share of 36.8% remain in the leads of Ukrainian agrarian exports. The following positions are occupied by vegetable oils 26.2% and oilseeds 7.5%. According to Trofimtseva, the regional structure of Ukrainian agrarian exports remained unchanged. Ukraine, first of all, cooperates with the countries of Asia, further – with the countries of the European Union and Africa.

«India leads TOP 5 of our largest customers in 2018, where agricultural and food products worth more than USD 1 billion were exported. The second is Egypt – USD 575.9 million, next China – USD 526.6 million, Holland – USD 525.3 million and Spain – USD 470.3 million,» – added the Deputy Minister for European Integration.

As The Journalist reported earlier, Ukraine can resume grain export to Saudi Arabia.
