Ministry of Health of Ukraine: 623 medical institutions already cooperate with the National Health Service

According to the official website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the second wave of contracting institutions providing primary health care services ended on August 15. This was reported by the National Health Service of Ukraine.
More than 462 medical institutions have signed agreements with the National Health Service. Thus, from October 2018 will be funded 389 public health institutions, 40 private clinics and 33 private doctors, «where patients are served by family doctors, pediatricians and therapists.»

«Institutions that have signed contracts in August, will receive payments for the provision of medical services by family doctors, therapists and pediatricians from the National Health Service as early as October 2018. Until that time, they will continue to be financed by subvention,» – the report said.

It is known that medical institutions from all regions of Ukraine expressed their desire to join the new funding mechanism.

«The leaders in the number of filled applications and signed contracts were Kharkiv (58 contracts) and Lviv Oblasts (34 contracts). In particular, all municipal institutions of Kharkiv, Lviv, Sumy, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mariupol, Mukachevo and many other cities, towns and villages begin to work with the National Health Service,» – the ministry said.

As of today, there are 623 medical institutions cooperating with National Health Service.
