Over the past day, August 8, militants violated the ceasefire regime 44 times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. In the result of combat, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed, three other were injured, and another one lost communication during a combat clash. This is reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation HQ on Facebook.
«Militants opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in separate areas enemy engaged Ukrainian troops from infantry fighting vehicles. Shellings were carried out on the defenders of the settlements of Krymske, Novozvanivka, Zolote, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Novoselivka Druha, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Avdiyivka, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne,» – the report said.
Along with this, the enemy fired on the Ukrainian Army positions near Krymske and Avdiyivka using 82-mm mortars. Another clash was reported near the Maiorsk.
