The report notes that the fine is related to Google’s abused its Android mobile phone software to get an advantage over rivals, so the European Commission fined Google EUR 4.3 billion.
It is noted that the European Commission confirmed a record fine at noon on July 18.
As it became known, this is the biggest fine ever imposed by the EU for an antitrust case – a record before that was a EUR 2.4 billion fine (also against Google).
It is worth noting that this is unlikely to hurt Google seriously, given that the company is worth about GBR 645 billion right now.
