The death case of botulism occurred last week. The deceased man did not seek medical help. About this informs the press service of the Ministry of Health on its Facebook page.
It is reported that in the Zaporozhia oblast the fifth since the beginning of the year a death case of botulism was recorded.
According to the Ministry of Health, a probable source of botulism is a poor-quality dried fish of home preparation.
«A man, born in 1975, died at home, he did not apply for medical help. The diagnosis was established posthumously on the basis of laboratory confirmation», the report says.
The report notes that in Ukraine currently registered 58 cases of botulism, as a result of which 65 people fell ill, 5 of them died.
Earlier Journalist reported that Ukraine received 12 serums to combat botulism.
