«According to the UN data, till the year 2050, Ukraine’s population can reduced by 18% to 36 million people. The country risks to turn into the land of children and elderly residents. One of the main factors of population’s departure is labor migration,» – the statement said.
This data is based on a statement made by Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin, that about 100 thousand Ukrainians go abroad for work monthly. Also, the Minister of Social Policy, Andriy Reva, added that 3.2 million people migrated abroad.
