Ukraine manufacture cooling systems for French-Italian communication satellites

The Ukrainian company produces cooling systems for communications satellites of the French-Italian company Thales Alenia Space. This is a completely new technology which was previously used only at space stations. This is reported by «Vecherniy Kharkov».
It is reported that the «FED» company (Kharkiv) won a tender for the development and supply of a heat exchanger for the Thales Alenia Space satellite. The project was launched in 2016.
It is known that the total contract cost for the production of heat exchangers is € 2 million.
The report notes that the internal structure of the satellite consists of working computers, oscillators and other systems that are heated. In turn, the Kharkiv company develops the system, which accumulates heat and with the help of heat exchangers throw it into space.
It is worth mention, that the Thales Alenia Space company is going to start manufacturing first satellites in 2020.
