The building will be located on the alley of Heavenly Hundred in Pechersk district of Kyiv. The exact date of construction is unknown. About this informs the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
It is reported that Revolution of Dignity Museum will be built according to the project of Berlin architects Jan Kleihues and Johannes Kressner.
In total 66 applications from 12 countries were submitted for the competition for the creation of the museum and the memorial complex.
It is noted that the German company will create a modern museum, in which the main part will consist of exhibition halls. In addition, there will be a hall for children, a public space for lectures and other events, as well as premises for storing the museum’s funds.
It is noted that the winning company is known for projects in many countries, now it is developing the construction of the National Museum in Oslo.
According to the architects, the museum will be connected to the memorial.
«Along the avenue of Heavenly Hundred Heroes will be niches in which there will be monuments in honor of the dead. The ramp will incline people along the niches to the museum and this will be the final point of the «path of memory», the message says.
