Over the past 24 hours, on June 27, militants mounted 32 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in the zone of the Joint Forces Operation in Donbas. In the result of attack, three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and three others were injured. This is reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.
«Over the past day, June 27, the situation in the area of the operation of the United forces remains controllable. The Russian occupation forces 32 times resorted to aimed fire on Ukrainian positions, 4 times using heavy weapons. Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy. The enemy attack led to three Ukrainian defenders dying in action, another three were wounded», – the message said.
In the Luhansk sector, the situation was most tense near the village of Krymske.
«Near the village of Krymske, militants fired from 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Enemy made another provocation using small arms in the area of the village of Stanytsia Luhanska», – the HQ added.
In the Donetsk sector, enemy deployed grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. On some direction militants used infantry fighting vehicles.
«Ukrainian defenders came under aiming fire near the settlements of Maryinka, Avdiyivka, Pivdenne, Opytne and Novomikhaylivka», – the JFO HQ press service reported.
Also over the past day, the enemy shelled the town of Zalizne with 82-mm mortar. In the result of attack two civilians were injured.
According to intelligence data, 10 militants were killed and another 7 were wounded over the past day.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, during the day militants violated ceasefire regime 20 times, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
