Militants opened fire on Ukrainian positions 66 times using mortars and «Grad» systems

Over the past day, May 16, illegal armed groups opened fire 66 times on the Ukrainian army positions in Donbas. This was reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.

The militants opened fire using mortars and «Grad» multiple rocket launchers in the Lugansk area near the villages of Novozvanivka and Troyitske.
In Donetsk region enemy was active near the town of Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Novoluhanske, Mayorsk, Avdiyivka, Opytne, Vodiane, Lebedinske and Shyrokyne..
In a result of attack, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and four were injured.
Thanks to «active defense», the Ukrainian forces eliminated five militants, while ieght others were wounded.
As «The Journalist» reported, the newest command and control systems will be deployed in the Donbas during the Joint Force Operation.
