The wife of the current president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko Marina, was not born in Kyiv, but in Central Asia, reports Strana.ua.
As the newspaper notes, the first lady for a long time hid the true place of birth. Her official biography indicated that she was born in Kyiv.
However, thanks to documents from the archives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it turned out that Maryna Poroshenko is from Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan, where Soviet scientists and military carried out nuclear weapon tests.
