World Vyshyvanka Day and Musical Battalion Project Creative Association are invited to take part in a series of exhibitions and workshops of the famous pysanka artist Olha Rovetska-Nazar from Sokal “Ukrainian Painted Light”.

“Olha Rovetska-Nazar creates a wide variety of pysankas, shkryabanki, nests of high artistic complexity on quail, chicken, goose, ostrich eggs. Pysanka artist reproduces ancient plots and writes authors in which traditional ornaments are creatively rethought.
For Olha Rovetska-Nazar pysankarstvo – a long family tradition not interrupted even in Soviet times. The family had to make Easter eggs secretly from metal tips of laces and pencils, to risk safety and well-being, and yet this did not stop the family from storing and transmitting the art of painting Easter eggs from generation to generation.
The artist herself creates paints from natural dyes – decoctions of herbs, berries, onion peel. Pysanka artist leads a creative group in Sokal and hopes that the creation of pysankas will be revived in every Ukrainian family.
At exhibitions in Kyiv, more than 100 pysankas of a complicated technique and ornamentation will be presented, ” this is stated in a press release.
The first master classes were held in Ukrinform and Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. On April 24 and 25, Easter eggs will be created under the guidance of a master in the Gulliver mall.
