Ministry of Infrastructure launched construction of new airport between Dnipro and Zaporizhia

This was stated by Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan on the air of Pryamiy channel.

“This year we started the design and preparatory work for the construction of the airport in Solone. This [urban-type settlement] located in the middle between Zaporizhia and the Dnipro. We believe that this airport will become a aviation hub for eastern Ukraine. Its potential is huge. It is very important that foreign and Ukrainian investors are very interested in this construction. We can get an airport with a capacity of at least 2-3 million passengers a year over the next five years,” Omelyan said.
