UN monitoring mission deems investigation of tragedy of May 2 in Odesa ineffective

This was reported by the head of the UN mission Fiona Frazer, 112 Ukraine reports.

“The police investigation into the riots was selective and biased,” said Frazer, stressing that five out of six murders in the center of Odesa which happens on May 2, 2014 have not yet been investigated.

Also, the death of 42 people during a fire in Trade Unions House is still not investigated.

“Ineffectiveness of the investigation and lack of responsibility reflect Ukraine’s judiciary imperfection,” said the head of the UN monitoring mission.

As The Journalist reported, representatives of the UN monitoring mission and Amnesty International expressed concern about delay in investigating of Maidan cases.
