South-Ukrainian NPP shut down the third power unit for half a year

On the night of May 16, the third unit of the South-Ukrainian NPP is shut down for six months to conduct overhaul and preventive maintenance. This is reported by the press service of Energoatom.

It is reported that the shutdown is associated with the repair, which will last 186 days. During this time, it is planned to replace the turbine condenser and the turbine feed pump capacitors. For high-speed turbines of type K-1000-60 / 3000, this work will be performed for the first time in Ukraine.

Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that all four power units had been launched at the RNPP.
