The Maritime Guard of Ukraine’s State Border Guard will receive 20 French patrol boats OCEA FPB 98, as the Ukrainian government’s press office reported on Facebook.
The OCEA FPB 98 patrol boats reach maximum speed up to 35 knots, and the effective range is 1,200 miles at the speed of 12 knots. The vessels have enough places for 13 crew members.
The length of OCEA FPB 98 makes 32 meters; it can come with various combat modules and a small reconnaissance boat.
Ukraine and France are currently negotiating on the joint production of these boats.
As The Journalist reported, US has transferred to AFU modern radar to detect and destroy enemy artillery.
