The fifth meeting of the Interagency Working Group on Coordination of Implementation and Monitoring of Sustainable Development Goals was held on August 27, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine reported.
The results of Ukraine’s progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the direction “Decent Work and Economic Growth in Ukraine”, aimed at balancing the social, economic and environmental aspects of sustainable development were presented at the meeting.
“Monitoring reports and the National Thematic Report are the first work to present the results of Ukraine’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, containing dynamics on key indicators of 2016-2018 in the field of social and economic policy, increasing production productivity and, consequently, increasing living standards of citizens of Ukraine. The monitoring report is a tool for objective assessment of what has been done and what needs to be done next. The continuation of our work will be the report of Ukraine, which will be presented in 2020 at the UN General Assembly meeting in New York,” the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv said.
