On September 13 – 28, Ukraine will host large-scale Rapid Trident-2019 exercises with the participation of 3,700 military personnel from 14 NATO countries, Ukrinform reported.
The exercises will be held at the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Ground Forces Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi.
“About 3,700 troops from 14 allied and partner countries, including nearly 375 US military and civilian personnel, will take part in the exercises,” the US Army command in Europe said.
The main goal of the Rapid Trident-2019 exercises is to facilitate further modernization of the defense sector of Ukraine according to US and NATO standards, as well as to strengthen regional security and international integration.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian service members will participate in Combined Resolve XII exercise.
