Average nominal wage in Ukraine up to UAH 10,971 in July

The average nominal wage in Ukraine in July increased by UAH 188 (or 1.7%) compared to June of the same year. This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Thus, in July, the average nominal wage was UAH 10,971, which is twice as much as the minimum wage set by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The average salary increased by 19.6% compared to the corresponding period last year.

Workers of the financial and insurance sectors remain the highest paid employees in Ukraine (on average, UAH 19,460), than go workers of IT sector (UAH 17,300), civil servants and the military (on average UAH 16,280).

In July 2019, the salaries in agriculture and in the field of administrative and support services increased by 11.8% and by 8.4% respectively. At the same time, salaries in the field of art, sports and leisure in July fell by 14%.
