On September 2, the Prosecutor General Ruslan Riaboshapka signed an order to dismiss the Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
“On Monday, September 2, 2019, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Prosecutor’s Office”, the Regulation regarding citizens of Ukraine carrying out military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also on the basis of a letter from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine dated 02.09.2019, the Prosecutor General Ruslan Riaboshapka dismissed the Deputy Prosecutor General – the Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios,” the statement said.
The PGO press service stated that Matios was excluded from the lists of the staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office and was sent to the Ministry of Defense to resolve the issue of his further military service.
